While exploring zoomorphism and playing with slabs of leather hard clay, Sommet spontaneously sculpted this abstract series of animals. The set includes an elephant, a whale, and a shark, created using slabbing and interlocking sculpting techniques. The theme of spontaneity carries through to the pieces’ finishing. Sommet played with temperature to create an unpredictable colouring.
